On Court – Pros

Head Lynx Tour is the most competitive string in the Lynx family. The static stiffness is quite high (1.05 kg/mm) and typical of high-level tournament strings. The string’s life cycle is from 8 to 12 hours, and during this period there are no major changes in performance, confirming Lynx Tour’s excellent stability and tension maintenance. Despite its purely competitive nature, the string maintains a decent ball feel, which makes it feel softer on the stringbed than its actual stiffness.

It has a strong ability to generate spin and control. The access to spin is immediate and allows the generation of shots with abundant “heaviness.” The snapback effect is very good, favoured both by the hexagonal section of the string and by the external coating which reduces friction during impact, favouring the sliding of the mains on the crosses and increasing the ball spin. Lynx Tour gives the player a high feeling of control during rallies and guarantees an excellent management of the shots especially when played with adequate spin.

There is good feelings also from the point of view of power. Power is “abundant,” but not free, especially in the 1.30 mm gauge. In fact, Lynx Tour requires decisive movements in order to make the most of its characteristics.
