Donnay proposes again, in solid-black satin dress, the graphics that had been proposed on the previous 2019 version with glossy transparent varnish. The racquet has its charm – raw, essential, simple, and bad – that combines tradition with innovation.

As said, the graphics, shapes, and colors blend the legacy left by the Allwood and Borg Pro series frames in natural wood, and offer these elements in an updated and captivating look on a frame that looks ahead, winking at the past.

As per Donnay’s tradition, the plastics are quite essential, traditional with small and regular grommet holes as well as the grommet system and the bumperguard at the head which is well-made and bears the logo of the parent company. Some attention must be paid to the first stringing in order to properly set the passage of the string at 10-14 o’clock and allow the plastics to take the shape of the frame.

The handle is well-shaped, and the shape of the grip pleasant, comfortable to hold, with an integrated cap that is not too pronounced, balanced and well-joined, with no trapdoor that precludes the possibility of adding weight for customization, but that helps to give a unique tone and a new shape to the whole racquet.

The basic grip is of high quality, black and medium-thin with an excellent surface finish that lets one feel the bevels with the right size and without excesses.
