Join nowThe StringLab Aaauz Soft Solution is the “less competitive” version (more elastic and with more free power returned) of the Raw Solution. It is a monofilament composed of third generation co-polyester enriched by the addition of polymers rich in silicone oils and liquid wax.
Like its big sister, the Soft Solution has a shape flower section. It is marketed in fluo red colour and in sizes 1.23 and 1.28 mm.
The price of a 12-meter reel is about 8 euros while the 200-meter reel is about 79.00 euros. The prices shown are those published on the website StringLab.
The Aaauz Soft Solution is a monofilament with an immediate feeling, oriented more to power generation and rotations than to control. The power returned is very high and easy to obtain. The good elasticity of the string returns a lively response and makes the stringbed very responsive. The result is good ball speed and depth, both on flat and rolled shots. Rotations are facilitated and amplified by the particular “flower” section that increases the grip on the ball and facilitates the snapback effect of the string.
The feeling of comfort is good and the impact is rather “soft”. The Soft Solution is in fact a string with medium-low stiffness, not excessively “tough”, which is suitable for tennis players of different levels of play.
The string life cycle is about 8 hours for the 1.23 gauge and 10 hours for the 1.28 gauge. The deterioration of the string is progressive and does not present obvious peaks of sudden degradation. This behaviour allows a “constant” use of the string until mechanical breakage or replacement.
The elasticity and low-medium stiffness of the Aaauz Soft Solution guarantee comfort and liveliness to the stringbed but penalise the string in terms of control. Especially on low-covered shots, the “sling effect” is clearly felt, with the consequent risk of losing control of the rally. It is necessary to adapt it for the management of the recovery strokes that could be difficult to control at least in the initial phases of use.
The Aaauz Soft Solution is a rather versatile string that adapts to different types of players and levels of play. Great for a “spinner” game, or otherwise covered, which allows you to make the most of the ability to spin and power of the string.
In relation to its good explosiveness, the Soft Solution can be recommended to both a young and senior audience (especially if strung at low tensions). For example, it is recommended for young competitive players who are beginning to have problems with frequent breaks with multifilaments.
The free and abundant power makes it a string also advisable for a female audience looking for a string capable of giving depth to the ball in a simple and effective way.
The tests were performed by stringing the StringLab Aaauz Soft Solution on:
The StringLab Aaauz Soft Solution is a modern monofilament with an immediate feeling more oriented towards power than control. Very simple and generous access to the rotations.
It adapts better to the “spinned” game, or in any case covered, then able to make the most of the ability to spin and power of the string. Recommended for many categories of tennis players and levels of play, also winks to the female audience in search of free power and depth of ball.
We thank StringLab (in the person of Luigi Bortone) for the concession of the strings that we used in our tests.
