Technical data sheet

Significant changes have also been made, which, as we will see, also affect the playability of the frame. When collecting the technical data we noticed consistency between what was stated and what was measured. The most notable data is certainly that of rigidity, with RA 74 being a high value, giving us a precise indication of what we can expect on court. The Swingweight is not very high, and if combined with that of the Twistweight, we can expect great maneuverability. We then noticed a choice that remains “hidden”, the lack of a thermoformed polyurethane foam handle. So we are dealing with a single shell that goes down to the lowest part, giving shape to the handle itself. The handle is completed by a Pro Performance grip, instead of the Sublime of the previous generation.

Let’s start by talking about an “innovation” that actually has links to what was a distinctive Wilson feature, the famous PWS (Perimeter Weighting System) that adds weight at 3 and 9 o’clock, thus stabilizing the hoop. In the past it was a clearly visible bulge on the frame, but now it is integrated, and therefore not visible. Let’s analyze the somewhat hexagonal hoop, further modified on the sides, where we find an internal channel designed to widen the 10 central cross strings. Through greater deflection and subsequent return of energy, Sweetspot Channels the identifying reference. Also the 6 central main strings work in a differentiated way thanks to the Crush Zone, designed to compress and therefore absorb shocks and vibrations, which by stretching the string will return additional power. Inverted Power Rib identifies the particular section of the core, designed to be rigid and solid, not very likely to twist.
